MODELS: Unlimited TFP opportunities if you are available, willing, give 110%, are dependable, and can work on short notice. I might even be available for your ideas. I do trade sets.
NOTE: All paid work (eg: when someone else is paying for the shoot, or buying the images) goes to people I’ve worked with before, who have worked with me on TF* projects, and who have made themselves generally available for the “art” aspect of my work. Pretty much no exceptions. So if you don’t do TF*, it’s doubtful we’ll ever work together.
Please make a note of the following ground rules:
Go-See: This is a basic MUST. I’ve worked in Dallas & Los Angeles and *even today* models must go see the photographer before a shoot can be set-up. I will email you exactly TWICE then I expect a phone call, or I move on and forgot you exist. My telephone number is on all model contact emails. CALL ME.
Nudes: I do nudes. If you don’t, NO BIG DEAL. I ask you at least shoot in swimwear and lingerie. I do prefer models who are comfortable looking at nudes. I once had a model who told me she was offended by the pictures in my portfolio….. Please.
Escorts: If you need an escort, I’m OK with it, PROVIDED this person stays out of my way in a shoot.. Escorts are then asked to help carry stuff, and become unpaid assistants. Fair warning. Otherwise, your escort is just a “gawker” to everyone else. So, if your profile states “I bring an escort…” please make sure this person knows to stay out of the way and not to offer “suggestions”. I’ve got over 30 years as a photographer, I do not need a boyfriend/husband/BFF telling me what I should be shooting.
I have models contacting me and telling me they have “reasonable rates”.. which is all well and good, but please go back and re-read my second paragraph above and it bears repeating.
I do not hire a model to do a shoot unless we’ve shot before on a TF* basis. Period.
